Darrell F. 'Happy the Millwright' Williquette

Darrell F. Williquette, age 77, passed away Monday, October 27, 2008, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Hospital. Darrell was born in Green Bay, WI, on July 15, 1931, son of the late Francis and Ione (Nee: Marks) Williquette.

Darrell served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Oriskany. He was employed by American Motors Corporation for many years as a millwright as well as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He previously worked at J.I. Case and for the past eight years he owned and operated the Peacock Boutique. On June 25, 1983, he was united in marriage to Judie A. Cacciotti. Darrell was a member of St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church, a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and was a past member of the Moose Lodge. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife Judie; six children, Steve (Eileen) Williquette of Racine, Pastor Scott (Vicki) Williquette of Rockford, IL, Dawn (Jim) Biermann of Union Grove, WI, Michael (Julie) Williquette of Hartselle, AL, Lisa (Pastor Steve) Loeffler of Cornelia, GA, and Capt. Dale (Cara) Williquette USAF of Moore, OK; grandchildren, Alethia (Greg) Kenworthy, Catherine (Jesse) Pirrello, Scott Williquette, Robert (Rachel) Biermann, Michael and Joshua Biermann, Emily, Grace, Jonathon, and Andrew Williquette, Lorissa, Timothy, Christymae and Rebecca Loeffler, Taylor and Madelyn Williquette; one great-granddaughter, Mykennah Biermann; brothers, Jim (Iris) Williquette and Larry Williquette, all of Green Bay; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margie (Clyde) Gatzke, Jerry (Arlene) Cacciotti all of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends and his beloved dog, Crissy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Madonna, in 1973 and by a granddaughter, Heidimae Biermann.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 3, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church, 3100 95th St., Sturtevant, with Reverend Paul L. Raczynski officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Sunday at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass.
