Margaret Mary (McDonough) Kostos

Margaret Mary Kostos, age 89, went to be with her Lord and to be reunited with her husband, on Saturday, October 25, 2008, at Franciscan Gardens, South Milwaukee, WI. Margaret was born in Chicago, IL, June 28, 1919, daughter of the late Thomas F. and Mary A. (Nee: McHugh) McDonough.

In 1939 she was united in marriage to George J. Kostos who preceded her in death in 1982. She was employed by Aetna Bank for fifteen years. Margaret was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Above all she devoted her life to her family and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her children, George J. (Rosemary) Kostos of Racine, WI; Greg T. Kostos of Juneau, WI; Mark T. Kostos of Hanahan, South Carolina; Patricia A. (Homer) Kelly of Baraboo, WI; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Theresa Saxon of IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas and Michael; sister, Delia (Frank) Reeger; and brother-in-law, James Saxon.

Funeral services will be held at Franciscan Gardens, 1000 Williams Ave., South Milwaukee, WI 53172, on Thursday, October 30, 2008, at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chicago, IL. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at Franciscan Gardens on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society or NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) have been suggested.
