Ms. Priscilla Francour, 90, passed away at Becker-Shoop Center nursing home on October 31, 2008. She was born in Niagara to the late Alphonse and Louise (nee: Carle) Mailloux on August 8, 1918. She was united in marriage to Francis Francour in Marinette on November 18, 1939, and had been a resident of Racine since 1962.
Priscilla had been a cook for Racine Unified School District before her retirement in 1977 and was an active member of St. Edwards Church. She was best known as an avid Bingo player and had volunteered for many years at St. Mary's Hospital in Racine. But most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Robert (Katherine) Francour and Brian (Barb) Francour, both of Racine, and William (Joleen) Francour of Georgia; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Wilford (Karla) Mailloux of Columbus, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, three brothers, and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Edwards Church at 11 a.m. on Tuesday November 4, 2008, with Fr. Allen Bratkowski officiating. Entombment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials to Ms. Francour may be directed to the American Alzheimer Association.
