Arthur Reimann, 69, passed away at Lake View Health & Rehabilitation Center on Friday, July 31, 2009.
Art was born in Germany on February 9, 1940, to Reinhold and Olga (nee, Schmidt) Reimann. Art enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and sneaking them candy.
Survivors include his children, Debbie Reimann, Dina (Mark) Tabbert, Debbie Conrad, Darline (Randall) Wozniak and Arthur (Tammy) Steege; grandchildren, Chad Mathieus, Erin Conrad, Shayne (Brittany) Tabbert, Ryan (Cassandra) Tabbert, Eric Tabbert, Alexander (Tina) Wozniak, Melinda (Todd) Christensen and Andrew Wozniak; great-grandchildren, Grace Tabbert, and Ashley, Miranda, Mitchell, Samantha Rae and Rebecca Christensen; brother, Erhard (Marge) Reimann, sisters, Hertha (Gabriel) Platzer, Amanda (Heinz) Koenig, Helge Koenig and Edeltraut Koenig; and nephews, Mark (Angel) Platzer, Andy Reimann and Christopher (Jen) Reimann. Art is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert M. DuMont
Robert M. DuMont, age 44, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 30, 2009, at his residence. He was born in Racine on December 12, 1964, son of the late Bernard and Mary (Nee: Ayers) DuMont.
Robert attended Wm Horlick High School, Class of 1982. In 1985 he was joined in marriage to Lisa Clark; they had three children together before their divorce in 1991. On May 22, 1993, he was united in marriage to Kim Erickson, who passed away this past May 21. Robert was employed at Harley Davidson in Milwaukee for over 10 years. Rob was an avid reader and had a particular interest in history. He enjoyed playing games on the computer and spending time with his wife, Kim.
Surviving are his children, US Marine Corporal Robert M. DuMont, Jr., and Sarah Nichole DuMont; stepchildren, Samantha Gonzales, and Maria Flores; grandson, Ty Robert Jensen; brothers, Jeffrey (Janna) DuMont and Danny (Geri) DuMont; his sister, Renee DuMont; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rodney and Mitzi Erickson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. JC was born on April 15, 1941, son of William and Winnie Goss. JC attended school in Minter City, MS. JC enjoyed fishing, hunting, mechanical work and gardening. JC retired from Belle Urban after many years of service as a mechanic and bus driver. JC had a tremendous passion for fixing vehicles; he knew what was wrong with a vehicle by the sound of the engine.

Joseph Leggin
Joseph Leggin, age 87, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Joseph was born in Taylor, PA, on January 23, 1922, son of the late John and Julia (Nee: Macik) Leggin and was a Racine resident since 1956.
Joseph was a graduate of St. Procopious College in Lisle, IL. During WWII, he served in the United States Army. Joseph was employed by Sante Fe Railroad and then by Amtrak as an on board service manager for thirty-seven years, retiring in 1985. Joseph was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his daughters, Rebecca (Chester) Swanson of Random Lake, WI, Julie (Fred) Ingiald; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; dear friend, Elaine Cobb; other relatives and many dear friends. Rose Mary (nee: Giacinti) Zwaga, 95, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Willow Crest Care Center in South Milwaukee.
Rose was born in Racine on June 19, 1914, the daughter of the late Pericle and Concetta (nee: Crocioni) Giacinti. She was a 1932 graduate of William Horlick High School. Rose was united in marriage to Clarence Zwaga on April 29, 1939. Rose was employed at Massey Ferguson for 25 years. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, Gethsemane Senior Group and Roma Lodge Vittoria Colona. For many years she enjoyed square dancing with her husband. Rose also loved cooking and playing bocce ball. Most of all she treasured spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are one son, Dennis (Cheryl) Zwaga of Franksville; daughter, Marie (William) Naretta of Rockford, IL; grandsons, Paul Naretta and Doug Zwaga; granddaughters, Nancy Pejsa, Lisa Zwaga and Anita Zwaga; great-grandchildren, Maggie and Katie Delany, Nick Naretta and Danny Pejsa; special nieces, Adeline Wensel, Anita Bononno; nephew, Frederick Yocco; cousin, Eva Smercheck. Frank Paul Jarosz, Sr.
Frank Paul Jarosz Sr., 80, passed away St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee on Wednesday, July 29, 2009.
Frank was born in Crivitz, WI, on March 16, 1929, to the late John Paul and Agnes (nee: Boivin) Jarosz. He graduated from St. Catherine's High School in 1949.
On April 21, 1951 in Holy Name Catholic Church, Frank was united in marriage with the love of his life, Nancy Ricchio. He faithfully served our nation with the United States Army from 1951-53.
In 1953 Frank began his career as a plumber. As a Master Plumber he owned and operated Elmwood Plumbing & Excavating and Jarosz Plumbing, retiring in 2004. For more than 50 years he was a member of Plumber and Steamfitters Union Local 118, serving as secretary for many years.
He was an active member of St. Lucy Catholic Church and Scout Master of St. Lucy Boy Scout Troop 228 for 12 years. Frank was proudly involved with the Racine Boy Scout Drum & Bugle Corp, Racine Explorer Scout Drum & Bugle Corp and the Kilties. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, deer hunting and woodworking. His favorite place to vacation was Hawaii. Above all else, Frank loved and cherished being in the midst of his entire family.
Surviving are his loving wife of over 58 years, Nancy (nee: Ricchio); sons, Frank (Vicki) Jarosz Jr. of Racine, Thomas (Jean) Jarosz of Wauwatosa, David (Jane) Jarosz and Gregory (Karen) Jarosz, both of Kansasville; daughter, Mariclare (James) Thomason of Schaumburg, IL; grandchildren, Matthew Jarosz and Rachel (Tighe) Ittner; Ellen, Claire, Angela, Margaret and Samuel Jarosz; Dana (Kevin) Bower, David R. and Gregory F. Alan was born to the late Harvey and Adele (nee: Lundgren) Erbe on August 22, 1947, and lived his entire life in Racine. On September 15, 1973, in Racine, he was united in marriage to Betty Yarrington.
Alan was employed at Harley Davidson and was a member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. He loved football, especially the Packers, gardening, fishing with friends, and was a really good cook who experimented with lots of spices.
Alan is survived by his wife Betty, of 35 years; children, Daniel Erbe and Julie (Eon Dinauer) Erbe; brother, Steve (Cyndi) Erbe; sister, Barbara (Gil) Faulls; sister-in-law, Jane Erbe; brother-in-law, Larry (Jeannette) Yarrington; mother-in-law, Doris Yarrington; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Earl M. Carlson
Earl M. Carlson, 81, passed away on Wednesday July 29, 2009, at W.F.H. All Saints. He was born on November 19, 1927, in Racine, the son of Cornelius and Deborah (nee: Larson) Carlson.
Earl was united in marriage to Carlotta Fritchen on Memorial Day, 1958. He was employed at James Cape & Sons retiring after 39 years of service, and later went on to work at Bank of Elmwood for 12 years.
Earl was a former member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church and a current member of First Reformed Church. He was always a very active member of his church families including singing in the choir, church councils and property committees. Earl served in the United States Marines, stationed in China and Guam. He could always be found at Hardee’s morning coffee group on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.
Earl is survived by his daughter, Cory J Hoffmann, and son Cody Earl Hoffmann both of Racine, son Earl B. “Skip” (Virgeen) Carlson and their children, Danielle and Trevor all of Racine, two sisters, Alida Newman of Racine and Debby (Barney) Bertinuson of North Dakota. He is also survived by stepchildren, Dennis (Carla) Dyhr of Greendale, Daryl (Edith) Dyhr of New Berlin, and Sandra (Michael) Geiger of Grayslake, IL; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Earl is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carlotta, on March 24, 1997; three brothers, Kenneth, Belmont and Arnold; and two sisters, Katherine and Margaret.

Earl was united in marriage to Carlotta Fritchen on Memorial Day, 1958. He was employed at James Cape & Sons retiring after 39 years of service, and later went on to work at Bank of Elmwood for 12 years.Earl was a former member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church and a current member of First Reformed Church. He was always a very active member of his church families including singing in the choir, church councils and property committees. Earl served in the United States Marines, stationed in China and Guam. He could always be found at Hardee’s morning coffee group on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.
Earl is survived by his daughter, Cory J Hoffmann, and son Cody Earl Hoffmann both of Racine, son Earl B. “Skip” (Virgeen) Carlson and their children, Danielle and Trevor all of Racine, two sisters, Alida Newman of Racine and Debby (Barney) Bertinuson of North Dakota. He is also survived by stepchildren, Dennis (Carla) Dyhr of Greendale, Daryl (Edith) Dyhr of New Berlin, and Sandra (Michael) Geiger of Grayslake, IL; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Earl is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carlotta, on March 24, 1997; three brothers, Kenneth, Belmont and Arnold; and two sisters, Katherine and Margaret.

Harry Mussie, 84, passed away at the Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, IL, on Wednesday, July 29, 2009.
Harry was born in Gary, Indiana, on November 25, 1924. He was a graduate of Indiana University and a WWII veteran with the US Navy. On June 25, 1966, he was united in marriage with Doris L. Sovelenko.
Prior to retirement, Harry was employed for many years as a financial accounting supervisor by Western Publishing. He also served our Racine community as an alderman and city council member. An avid golfer, he was a 50+ year member of Meadowbrook Country Club.
Surviving are his wife, Doris; family members in Illinois; and by many dear friends in Racine too numerous to mention by name.

Timothy Allen Pincikowski
Timothy Allen Pincikowski, 45, passed away Tuesday July 28, 2009, unexpectedly in Saline, Michigan, as a result of a tragic biking accident. He was born May 24, 1964, in Racine, Wisconsin.
On October 12, 1996, he married Lisa Christopher, the love of his life. Tim worked at SC Johnson in the Polymer Division and then accepted a position at BASF as a Plant Manager in Michigan.
Tim is survived by his wife Lisa of 12 years and his precious children, Michael and Lauren Pincikowski. Also surviving are his parents, Leonard and Ruth Ann Pincikowski, who reside in Racine, Wisconsin; sister, Karen (Tim) Gross of Union Grove, Wisconsin; and brothers, Doctor Scott (Kate Luse) Pincikowski of Frederick, Maryland, and Mark (Jennifer Urban) Pincikowski of Port Angeles, Washington.
He is also survived by his mother in-law and father-in-law, Gail and Lester Christopher of Racine, Wisconsin; sister-in-laws, Jodi (Todd) Litzau of Franklin, Wisconsin, and Sonya (Timothy) Otwaska of Racine, Wisconsin; and brother-in-law, Brian (Maricella) Christopher. Michael Pincikowski's grandparents on his mother's side are Linda and the late Dave Nielsen. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Tim received most of his enjoyment from being with his family and friends. His hobbies included music (Beatles), biking, golfing, swimming, playing his guitar and reading. He also acquired his amateur radio license, obtaining his grandmother Fern Fisher's call letters W9LCJ. He loved to take his wife out for fine dining, theater and the movies. He also loved spending ''family nights" at home with Lisa and Lauren. His son meant everything to him; they discussed many books and different types of music at length. Tim's daughter was the apple of his eye. He took her on bike rides, adventures to the park and loved swimming with her. Lauren often yelled "daddy catch me." He loved to prepare the family's Thanksgiving meal, often kicking us all out of the kitchen. Last but not least, he was famous for his baked beans. He was loved by all and will be missed. We love you, Tim.

Ruth Green, 91, of Racine, WI, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2009.
Born, October 27, 1917, in Racine to Karl Karlson and Florence Pederson, Ruth was one of five siblings. Ruth dedicated her career to education. She was an admired teacher at Bay View High School in Milwaukee for over 30 years. She was also a lifetime member of Christ Church – United Methodist where she found strength and fellowship.
Ruth is survived by her brother Karl Karlson Jr. and five nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving son John; her brothers, Bob and Ralph; and her sister, Dorothy.

Julia Beaupain, 52, formerly of Calumet City, IN, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Mary (nee: Dudzinski) Beaupain, and is survived by her brother John (Lisa) Beaupain of Griffith, IN. She is also survived by nieces and nephews Joshua, Laura, Brian and Jillian Beaupain.

Dolores 'Dolly' A. (Neumann) Wynhoff
Dolores A. Wynhoff, age 81, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 26, 2009, at her residence. Dolores was born in Racine, September 21, 1927.
On November 3, 1963, Dolores was united in marriage to Louis H. Wynhoff who preceded her in death, October 3, 2001. Dolly was the church secretary at St. Andrew Lutheran Church for many years and a dedicated mother and grandmother. In her earlier years she bred and raised champion Bedlingnton Terriers and Great Danes.
Dolly enjoyed her prairie garden, knitting and crocheting, and was recognized for her support of the Boy Scouts.
In her later years she treasured time spent with her family; especially her granddaughters, Mikaela, Hannah and Julia, whom she has helped to take care of since their birth. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her son, Mick (Katherine) Wynhoff; daughters, Judi (Bradly) St Vincent, Kathy Small; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; other relatives and many dear friends. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; step-sons, Daniel and Louis Jr.; father, Adolph Neumann; mother, Emily; and her sisters, Adelyne and Evalyn.

James D. Morse
UNION GROVE, WI -- James D. Morse expired at the Veterans Home in Union Grove, WI, on July 25, 2009.
Jim was born on July 30, 1924, in St. Charles, KY, to Dr. William L. and Bessie (Trover) Morse. They and a sister, Helen, predeceased him. The family moved to Earlington, KY, in 1939.
He was a graduate of Castle Heights Military Academy and the University of Kentucky (BSME).
During World War II he served as an Army Infantry Officer for 36 months, 21 of those overseas. His Army service brought eight military decorations, with the Purple Heart medal and its Oak Leaf Cluster testifying to his active participation in the fighting. He fought from Normandy to the Battle of the Bulge, where he was captured and spent the rest of the European war in POW camps.
Upon leaving the Army he resumed his quest for an engineering education, and resumed and intensified his pursuit of Marian E. Slater. The latter endeavor resulted in the more immediate fruition, and on June 11, 1947, in Erlanger, KY, the two were married. Jim has said many times that it was his great good fortune to have met Marian in Lexington at the University of Kentucky in the Fall of 1942. It was a wonderful marriage, and they lived happily ever after. Marian predeceased him on November 24, 2006.
With his BSME degree he was employed by Modine Manufacturing Company in 1949, and after serving in various areas of engineering, retired in 1987. He considered his employment a pleasure because of the many friendly and cooperative co-employees, and the challenge of the work.
He was active in the Instrument Society of America, the Society of Automotive Engineers, and the Sigma Nu social fraternity. He was a member of Racine’s First Presbyterian Church. He and Marian loved to travel, and toured many of the great cities of the world.
Survivors include three sons and their families: Bill (Lori) of Whitefish Bay, WI, with grandchildren Matthew of Santa Monica, CA, Russell of New York, New York, and Kelsey of San Diego, CA; Bob with grandchildren Connor and Kaitlin, all of Mt. Horeb, WI; and Victor (Stacey) with grandchildren Gabriel and Susanna, all of San Francisco, CA.
Additionally he is survived by brother-in-law H. Baker Slater, sister-in-law Francis Slater, and their three daughters, Katie, Fran and Beth, all of Cincinnati, OH. Irene Linnea (nee, Reed) Eberhardt, 87, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Friday, July 24, 2009.
Irene was born in Conover, WI, on May 13, 1922, to Charles P. and Helena (nee, Anderson) Reed. She married Eugene W. Eberhardt, celebrating over 61 years of marriage. Irene loved her original home in the north woods and returned as often as possible. She was active in the Mission Guild and Cradle Roll at St. John’s Lutheran Church, as well as volunteering many hours at the Lutheran High School Thrift Store. She loved to play the organ, watch birds and do crossword puzzles. But most of all, her family was a priority and she enjoyed spending time with her family, talking and visiting with her nieces and nephews, camping, holidays and all social gatherings.
Irene is survived by her husband, Eugene W. Eberhardt; children, Charlene (George) Heckel, Susan Eberhardt, Alice (Brian) Zabielski and Norman (Richard Ganoung) Eberhardt; grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Thamban and Paul (Candice) Heckel; and great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Owen and Caleb Thamban. Irene is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services for Irene will be held at St. John Lutheran Church on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at noon with Rev. Thomas Chryst officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Tuesday morning from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Milton A. Jordan
Milton A. Jordan, age 87, passed away on Friday July 24, 2009. Milton was born in Racine on August 7, 1921, son of the late Herman E. and Augusta (nee: Goebel) Jordan and was a lifelong resident.
On June 10, 1944, at St. Luke Episcopal Church in Racine, Milton was united in marriage to the love of his life, Shirley Schaefer. Together they had fifty-five wonderful years together before she preceded him in death on June 4, 1999.
Following World War II, he proudly served in the United States Army. Milt was employed with Howard Industries for twenty-seven years and then twenty years with Voorlas Mfg. before retiring in 1986. He was a lifelong member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Milton loved the outdoors, camping, fishing year 'round and was an avid golfer and was in Johnson Park League for years. He also was a great bowler and enjoyed his time playing in the Paradise Independent League. He will be best remembered as a kind and vibrant man who was first and foremost a loving family man. He will be dearly missed.

Hot Springs, AR – Novica Pavlovic, 68, passed away in Hot Springs, AR on Thursday, July 23, 2009.
Novica was born in Gornja, Mutnica, Serbia, on December 8, 1940, to Vladimir and Stanojka Pavlovic. He was a lifelong Racine resident. Novica married the former Radmila Malinovic. He retired from Western Publishing Company after more than 37 years of service and was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Braun Road.
Survivors include his wife, Radmila Pavlovic; children, Ana (Ivan) Margitic, Bora (Sladjana) Pavlovic and Dana (Milorad) Lazic; and grandchildren, Aleksandar and Radmila Margitic, Stefan and Tatjana Pavlovic, and Antonije and Katarina Lazic. Novica is also survived by other relatives in Serbia and many friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Petar Pavlovic.

Sturtevant – Donn C. Henderson, 90, passed away at his home on July 21, 2009.
Donn Henderson was born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Earle and Fern (nee: Gates) Henderson on June 14, 1919. He had lived in Racine for 46 years. In Edinburgh, Scotland, he was united in marriage to Mary M. Forsyth on March 10, 1945.
Mr. Henderson served in the United States 9th Army Air Corps in the European Theater during World War II. He was employed by Rickert Industrial Supply for 17 years. He retired after 10 years of employment with J.I. Case Company in 1984. He was an avid traveler with his wife. He enjoyed wood carving and loved to study genealogy.
Donn is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary; two children, Rob (Judy) Henderson of Waukesha and Katie (John) Muehr of Racine; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Monday evening, July 27, 2009, at 6 p.m. Inurnment will occur at later date at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.

FT. LAUDERDALE -- Rudolph W. Holbus, age 92, passed away Monday July 20, 2009, at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Rudolph was born in Racine on September 11, 1916, son of the late Martin and Caroline (nee: Haluska) Holbus.
He attended William Horlick High School, Racine Vocational School and Civilian Conservation Corps. During World War II, Rudy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Rudy was united in marriage to Virginia Mary Smith on November 9, 1946, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on October 24, 2004. He was self-employed for many years as a home builder and was last employed with the State of Wisconsin as a real estate assessor until his retirement in 1981. Rudy enjoyed his winters in Ft. Lauderdale with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

James 'Jim' Dale Krause
Dalton, Georgia- James “Jim” Dale Krause, 60, formerly of Racine, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009, at Clement Zablocki V.A. Medical Center. Jim was born in Racine on June 6, 1949, the son of Jack and Kathryn (nee: Stannis) Krause. He graduated from J.I. Case High School “Class of 1968.”
Jim proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, Army and the National Guard. He was an electrician for many years, retired from Modine Manufacturing, and was a former member of Bethania Lutheran Church.
Jim found pleasure in photography, fishing and most of all found great enjoyment in computers and sharing his knowledge with family and friends.
Jim is survived by his loving daughter, Corrine (Chris Pinnow) Krause; three grandchildren, Tyler, Brayden and Cade; siblings, Richard (Sandy) Krause, Cathy (Eric) Mitchell, Caryl (Keith) Brown and Bill (Liz) Krause. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends in Racine and Georgia. Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, Army and the National Guard. He was an electrician for many years, retired from Modine Manufacturing, and was a former member of Bethania Lutheran Church.Jim found pleasure in photography, fishing and most of all found great enjoyment in computers and sharing his knowledge with family and friends.
Jim is survived by his loving daughter, Corrine (Chris Pinnow) Krause; three grandchildren, Tyler, Brayden and Cade; siblings, Richard (Sandy) Krause, Cathy (Eric) Mitchell, Caryl (Keith) Brown and Bill (Liz) Krause. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends in Racine and Georgia. Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

Gilberto Coronado Garza 81 of Racine, passed away Monday, July 20, 2009 at Ridgewood Care Center Racine.
Gilberto was born in San Antonio, Texas, on Sept 8, 1927, son of the late Felipe and Juana (nee: Coronado) Garza.
Gilbert, "Veto," "Gil" or "Pancho" as you may have known him, was retired from J.I. Case Co. He was a bachelor, a nice mannered man, with a silly sense of humor, whose pastimes were building puzzles and watching and attending the WWE wrestling matches and watching old cowboy movies on television.
Gilbert loved Racine; he woke up at the crack of dawn and would probably be seen drinking coffee at one of the many downtown restaurants -- he especially liked Kewpee’s. He so enjoyed his daily bus rides, talking to the bus drivers, the routine walks to Monument Square where he would sit and visit or purchase lottery tickets at Lakeside Pharmacy. He loved the employees at Kidd’s Worldwide Travel, who encouraged him to travel to Mexico, Spain, Vegas and cruises. For M&I bank to help him learn how to save, to make his travels possible.
Oh “ya,ya,ya,ya” can’t forget the Sunday morning breakfast with nephews and nieces especially Ed, the menudo, the tacos or the Mexican sweat bread; from Cristo Rey church, Rio Grande, Mi Jacalito and La Tapatia. So many good times, so many great memories Thank you, farewell and “just be nice” as he always said.

STURTEVANT -- Doris Christensen, age 84, passed away Monday, July 20, 2009, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Doris was born in England on May 26, 1925, daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth A. (Nee: Whiteside) Ratcliffe.
On August 7, 1945, in Oxford, England, she was united in marriage to Roy S. Christensen and they moved to Racine March 25, 1946. Roy preceded her in death in 1985. Doris was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Above all she treasured time spent with her family and will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her children, Chris (June) Christensen of Green Bay, Kim (Lee) Bahr of Sturtevant; her daughter-in-law, Robin Christensen of Union Grove; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Gilbert (Mary) Ratcliffe of England; sister, Joyce Causier of Oxford, England; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Mary H. Ryterske
Mary Henrietta Ryterske, 86, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded with the love of her family, on Monday, July 20, 2009, after being diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer just two weeks ago.
Mary was born in Harlan, Iowa, on May 29, 1923, to the late Henry and Mary (nee: Stoltz) Thraen. After graduating from Harlan High School in 1941, she went on to work at the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C., as a secretary. It was in Washington that she met a young soldier, and the love of her life, Peter Paul Ryterske, Jr. They were married at the Walter Reed Hospital Chapel in D.C. by Rev. John Dunne on June 28, 1947.
Prior to her retirement, Mary was employed as an executive secretary at Massey-Ferguson. However, her main priority in life was being a full-time wife and mother – a career she completely excelled at. While her children were young, she loved being involved in all their activities, especially as an adventurous Girl Scout Leader.
With a profound faith in God, Mary was a dedicated member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. She was an excellent cook, phenomenal seamstress, proud breast cancer survivor and was always up for playing a good game of Bridge – especially with her various club friends. Above all, Mary loved nothing more than being in the surroundings of her entire family.
Surviving are her husband of over 62 years, Peter; their children, Constance L. (James J.) Runge, Thomas P. (Donna Zilles) Ryterske, Jeanne M. (Mark J.) Schaefer and Susan M. (Martin J.) Halcsik; grandchildren, John M. (Keri), James A., Mary Jill and Joel C. Runge; Eric P. (Toni), Stephanie J., and Michele J. Schaefer; Shawn Halcsik; Rachel E., Kathryn A. and Sarah L. Gudrun Andreasen
Gudrun (nee: Houmann) Andreasen, 99, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints. Gudrun was born in Lokken, Denmark, on January 20, 1910, the daughter of the late Neils and Anna (nee: Sorensen) Thomsen Houmann.
Her family immigrated to Racine on April 18, 1911. She and her parents returned to Denmark in 1916, where she received her education through the fifth grade and returned to Racine in 1922 to complete her education. Gudrun worked in Houmann & Son Fish Market for 17 years until her marriage to Aage ‘Charley’ Andreasen in Racine at Immanuel Lutheran Church on May 25, 1940, who preceded her in death on June 26, 1955.
Gudrun catered the meals at Dania Hall for 17 years and then was head cook at the Danish Old People’s Home for 22 years. She was an active member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection and was on the Altar Committee for 36 years, a member of the Joy Circle and the former Ladies Aid. Gudrun was a member of Danish Sisterhood Victoria Lodge #5, the Danish Brotherhood Lodge # 182 and Dania Ladies. She enjoyed visiting people, listening to talking books, stitchery and travel. Gudrun told wonderful life stories and had a fabulous memory.
Surviving are one son, Allen (Linda) Andreasen of Bella Vista, Arkansas; grandson, Todd (Nicole) Andreasen of Racine; granddaughter, Amy (Shane) Mauel of Watertown; seven great grandchildren, Chase, Mariah, Owen and Olivia Andreasen, Hailey, Hunter and Ryker Mauel; three nieces, Nana Houman-DeYoung of Ames, IA, Joyce Adelsen and Viola Adelsen Pedersen of Kenosha; one nephew, Jerome Wallace of Racine; also grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

Arthur L. Johnson, age 86, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009. Arthur was born in Milbank, South Dakota, March 27, 1923, son of the late Arthur L. and Mary (Nee: O’Donnell) Johnson Sr.
Arthur was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1943” and was a proud member of their 1943 WIAA State Championship Basketball Team. During WWII, he served as Pharmacist Mate 3rd class in the United States Navy aboard the USS Bountiful stationed in the Pacific Theatre, for which he received two bronze stars.
On January 20, 1951, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Betty” J. Egan. Arthur was employed by J.I. Case Company for four years and then by Dynamatic Division of Eaton Corporation in Kenosha for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church and VFW Post 1391. Arthur also was a golf enthusiast and enjoyed time spent with his friends walking at the mall. Above all he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and he will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; his children, Timothy (Kathy) Johnson of Boynton Beach, FL, Thomas (Laurie) Johnson of Racine, Susan M. Johnson of Milwaukee, WI; his two grandsons, Kevin M. Eric Charles Becker
Eric Charles Becker, 60, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, July 13, 2009.
Eric was born in Kenosha on January 20, 1949, to Frank and Ruth Becker. He served in the U.S. Army as an M.P. Eric graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. After college he opened the Whole Earth Clay Works in what was once the old Lamberton School on Seven Mile Road for 15 years. Eric and his former wife, Maureen Michna, then moved the business to their home studio for the next 20 years. Together they made and showed their artwork around the country.
Eric is survived by his son, Mikhail Becker; brothers and sisters, Teri (Paul) DeCamp, Maren (Mark) Diamon, Lisa Fratter, Lance Becker, Andrea (Larry) Meyer, Frank Becker and Gretchen (Mark) Hermann; and brother-in-law, Dan Ervin. Eric is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kurt Becker; sister, Barb Ervin; and infant sister, Heidi.

Eric was born in Kenosha on January 20, 1949, to Frank and Ruth Becker. He served in the U.S. Army as an M.P. Eric graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. After college he opened the Whole Earth Clay Works in what was once the old Lamberton School on Seven Mile Road for 15 years. Eric and his former wife, Maureen Michna, then moved the business to their home studio for the next 20 years. Beth Ann Howze, 41, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare on Saturday, July 18, 2009.
Funeral services for Beth will be held at Searching Together Missionary Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Riley officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.

Geraldine R. 'Geri' Ebe
Geraldine R. ‘Geri’ (nee: Nissen) Ebe, 85, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2009, at Hospitality Nursing Home in Kenosha. Geri was born in Milwaukee on June 21, 1924, the daughter of George and Anna (nee: Borger) Nissen.
Geri graduated from Washington Park High School, “Class of 1942.” She was united in marriage to Edward H. Ebe on November 16, 1946, at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, where she was a lifelong member. Geri loved sewing and making crafts, along with being renowned for her cooking and baking.
She was employed over the years at Western Publishing, Doyle Handymark, Eitel’s and Boston Store.
Geri loved to travel with her husband and go camping with her family. She was very involved in the Miss Racine pageant along with being a chaperone for Miss Racine and active as a pageant judge in various cities throughout Wisconsin. She also loved every opportunity to spend time with her two grandsons.
Geri is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia (Fred) Vogt; grandsons, Darrin Vogt and Steven Vogt; brothers and sisters-in-law, George (Jo) Nissen, and Wally (Joanne) Nissen. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends in Racine further survive her.
Memorial services will be at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 2000 W. 6th St., on Monday, July 27, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Barrow officiating. (Due to church renovation, services will be held in the Mark Hurn Room.) There will be a memorial visitation at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until service time. Inurnment of cremains following services will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to Holy Communion Lutheran Church or St. Monica’s Senior Citizen Home.
