John graduated from Wm Horlick High School, “Class of 1981.” On August 21, 1987, in Racine, John was united in marriage to Susan D. Burge. He was employed by DIC Imaging for the past 10 years. He was a member of the Harley Owner’s Group and loved the Packers. He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and camper and enjoyed shooting. He was an extraordinary cook who loved to cook for his family. Above all he was a devoted husband and father who will be dearly missed.Surviving are his wife of nearly twenty-two years, Susan; his children, Erica and Jacob; his mother, Katalin Marton; sisters, Katalin P. Marton and Susan Smith; mother-in-law, Helen Burge; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Carolyn Burge, Barbara Sawyer, and James Burge; nieces and nephews, Antoinette DeMark, Rocco DeMark, Elizabeth Smith, Rosemary Smith, Mark Kowalski, Keri (Brian) Fosse, Andrew, Eric and Molly Sawyer; his best friend, Paul (Diane) Kaye; other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father; his uncle, Mark Bunyevac; and his sister-in-law, Kathleen Ann Burge.
Funeral services will be held at the Maresh-Meredith and Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St., on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend John Miesel officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Monday from 4-7 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
