Edward George Terry, Sr.

Edward George Terry, Sr., 49, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 11, 2009.

Ed was born in Racine on March 20, 1960, to Wally and Marge (nee: Rocheleau) Terry. On November 23, 1990, he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Barbara Ann (nee: Meddy) Terry. Eddie and Barb lived their dream when they moved to the Freemont, WI, area, living on Lake Poygan. His heart was broken when she died on April 23, 2007.

A skilled CNC Operator, Ed was employed for many years by Danfoss and, most currently, Bothe Associates. His passion was fishing. Among his interests, he enjoyed the Green Bay Packers; music – being an accomplished guitarist especially fond of Southern Rock; and was a fantastic cook – with specialties of ribs on the grill and his famous fish frys, which were widely known. Above all, Ed loved being surrounded by his family and many friends.

Surviving are his sons, Douglas “D.J.” Schneider and Edward G. (fiancĂ©, Amanda Amad) Terry II ; grandchildren, Taylor and Austin Schneider; dad and mom, Wally and Marge Terry; sisters, Michele (Paul) Schmidt, Jeanne (Neal) Pelz, LuAnn (Pat) Conley and Rhonda (Tom) Kramer; Barbara’s parents, Robert and Diane Meddy Sr.; brothers-in-law, Robert Meddy Jr. and Scott Meddy; many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name.

In addition to his beloved wife, Barbara Ann; Ed was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Terry, who died on March 27, 1970.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. In accordance with Ed’s wishes, cremation will follow the service. Private interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and in the church on Thursday from 10-11 a.m.

A heartfelt note of thanks to all the first responders on the Mt. Pleasant Police and Fire Departments; and All Saints Emergency Room. May God bless all of you!
