Dalton, Georgia- James “Jim” Dale Krause, 60, formerly of Racine, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009, at Clement Zablocki V.A. Medical Center. Jim was born in Racine on June 6, 1949, the son of Jack and Kathryn (nee: Stannis) Krause. He graduated from J.I. Case High School “Class of 1968.”
Jim proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, Army and the National Guard. He was an electrician for many years, retired from Modine Manufacturing, and was a former member of Bethania Lutheran Church.
Jim found pleasure in photography, fishing and most of all found great enjoyment in computers and sharing his knowledge with family and friends.
Jim is survived by his loving daughter, Corrine (Chris Pinnow) Krause; three grandchildren, Tyler, Brayden and Cade; siblings, Richard (Sandy) Krause, Cathy (Eric) Mitchell, Caryl (Keith) Brown and Bill (Liz) Krause. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends in Racine and Georgia. Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services with full military honors will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Steve Wohlfeil of Bethania Lutheran Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Jim’s family would be greatly appreciated.
