Anna Martin

Anna Martin, 86, went to join her family on Friday July 3, 2009, at Lakeshore Manor. She was born in Fort Rice, North Dakota, on March 29, 1923, the daughter of Kasper and Marie Eva (nee: Wetzstein) Martin.

Anna moved to Racine in 1941 to be reunited with her sisters who relocated to Racine. She was formerly employed with Wisconsin Telephone Company as a switchboard operator, retiring in 1980 after 35 years of service.

Anna was preceded in death by her two brothers, Joseph and Mathias Martin; four sisters, Barbara, Mae and Rose Martin and Mathilda Anderson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Monica’s Senior Citizen Home, 3920 N. Green Bay Rd., on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Paul Daniels officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. There will be a visitation at St. Monica’s from 9 a.m. time of the Mass.

Special thanks to her faithful and loving caregivers; Mollie, Ireta, Cylintia, Rumy and Carol. Anna was very blessed to have you as her family.
