Betty Jane (Spidle) Lock

Betty Jane Lock, age 83, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center. Betty was born in Bloomington, IL, on November 6, 1925, daughter of the late George L. and Elizabeth M. (Nee: Hale) Spidle.

On April 17, 1951, in Crown Point, Indiana, she was united in marriage to Ronald L. Lock. Betty treasured time spent with her family and was an excellent cook. She will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, Ronald; her children, Victoria Bushman, Douglas (Vicki) Lock, all of Racine, Randall Lock (Pat) of Friendship, WI, Ronald “Scott” Lock of Lantana, FL; her four grandchildren, Susan Czuper of Willmington, MA, Steven Bushman of Oshkosh, WI, Tara (Jim) Launderville, Laura (Dave) Burger, all of Chippewa Falls, WI; her six great-grandchildren, Jessica Bushman, Kyle, Kevin, and Kaylee Launderville, Braden and Emilee Burger; her great-great granddaughter, Alexis Wood; sister, Pauline Hoefert of Racine; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Sleeman, Sandra Pete; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at 7 p.m. with Rev. Brad Van Fossen officiating. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until time of service.

The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the entire staff at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center, especially to Amanda, Kaylee, Dawn, Brian, and Michelle for their loving and compassionate care.
