Albert Ray Scott

Albert Ray Scott passed away on Sunday May 10, 2009, at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Albert was born April 25, 1945, in Windborn Mississippi. He was the son of Robert Weathrall and Elois (Nee: Scott) Stacy.

He was employed by Jacobsen Manufacturing until he retired. After retirement his favorite pastime was salvaging and fishing. Albert, known as “Ray” by his family and friends, was attending Lockwood Congregation of Jehovah Witness.

Albert leaves to cherish his precious memories his mother Elois Stacy; his “lil mama” Viola Scruggs; children, Camilla Selmon, Tito Long, Julius Scott, Dominic Pruitt, and Keyajah Pruitt all of Racine; Carmen, Todd and Virginia Scott all of Jacksonville, Florida; sister Camilla Russell of Racine; daughter-in-law Romonica Selmon; special nieces Tammy Tucker and LaTasha (Carey) Collins; and special nephews, Gentry Russell and Timothy Selmon all of Racine; special cousins, Tommie and Bernita Scruggs; aunt, Sarah Jacobs. He also leaves seven grandchildren, five of which he treated as if they were his own children, KeJuana, Angelo, Jaliin, Alexandria and Sahron; cherished friends, Mary Selmon and Shelia Pruitt; host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Weathrall; stepfather, Joseph Stacy; son, Anthony Selmon; daughter, Ramona Scott; and granddaughter Keyuana Collier.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center and nurses at Hospice who provided care and support for Albert and the family during his illness.

Memorial services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 15, 2009, at 1 p.m., with Elder Clarence Green officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Friday from noon p.m. until time of service.
