Pat was born in Racine on January 9, 1930, to Victor and Dorothy (nee, Caspers) Pier. She has been a lifelong Racine resident. Pat married Donald W. Peterson in Racine on September 17, 1976. Pat was office manager for Dr. Richard Fogle for over 23 years. She retired on December 31, 1986. Pat loved to play keyboard, sharing her music for the many nursing homes in the Racine area for the past 15 years. She was a kind woman who was friendly to everyone she met.Survivors include her husband, Donald W. Peterson; daughter, Renee Thomas; grandsons, Brian Edgar and Joel Edgar; great-granddaughter, Taylor Edgar; great-grandson, Austin Edgar; nephews, Vick (Mickey) Pier, John (Sue) Pier and Mark Pier; and her niece, Cathy Pier. Pat is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Pier.
Funeral services for Pat will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at 7 p.m. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association have been suggested.
