FRANKSVILLE – Dorothy Ann (nee: Dziadosz) Barten, 57, passed away on May 10, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Milwaukee on June 16, 1951, the daughter of Anton and Audrey (nee: Wisniewski) Dziadosz.
Dorothy graduated from Cudahy High School. On September 23, 1994, Dorothy was united in marriage to Jim Barten. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed embroidery and especially loved her dogs. She was proud to have beaten cancer four times.
Surviving is her husband, Jim; two sisters, Cheryl Rodziczak and Loretta Dziadosz; three brothers, Jim, Dale and David Dziadosz; two stepsons, Neal and Christopher Barten; and five step-grandchildren. She is further; survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria and Corrine; and two brothers, Paul and Michael.
Services will be at Sturino Funeral Home on Friday, May 15, 2009, at noon. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 3801 W. Morgan Ave., in Milwaukee. There will be a visitation before service on Friday from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 902, Pewaukee, WI 53072-0902 have been suggested.
