Brenda Feick

Brenda (nee, Beckman) Feick, 64, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, surrounded by her family.

Brenda was born in Duluth, MN, on March 1, 1945, to Gayle and Norma (nee, Ohlund) Beckman. She and Thomas Feick were united in marriage on March 5, 1966. Brenda was employed by Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare as a Surgical First Assistant both in surgery and at the Pain Clinic. She became Chief Steward at the hospital for SEIU Local 150 and later became its Treasurer. She further demonstrated her devotion to patients by working for Advanced Pain Management.

To Brenda, family was her life. She loved her children and grandchildren who were very special to her.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Thomas Feick; children, Michelle Feick, Jerry Feick and Tom (Kristin) Feick; and her grandchildren, Andrew Feick, Katherine Feick and Tommie Feick; her mother, Norma Beckman; brother, Michael (Meg) Beckman; and nieces, Tess and Molly Beckman. Brenda is also survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Brenda will be held at St. Joseph Catholic church, corner of Erie and St. Patrick Streets, on Monday, May 18, 2009, at 11 a.m. celebrated by Rev. John Aiello. Interment will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Brenda’s family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Purath, Dr. Dhingra and the nursing staff at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare for all of their compassionate care. They would also like to thank Dr. Stauss and the staff at Advance Pain Management and the staff at the Pain Clinic at St. Luke’s for the many years of friendship during her time working together with them.
