Kenneth Yarrington, 83, passed away at Lincoln Village Center on May 16, 2009.
Mr. Yarrington was born to the late Charles and Emma (nee: Sande) Yarrington in Modena, Buffalo County on May 30, 1925, and has lived in Racine since 1950. In 1948 he was united in marriage to Doris Gunderson and recently they celebrated 60 loving years together.
Mr. Yarrington had been employed as a foreman at Rexnord for over 37 years until his retirement in 1987. He was actively involved in the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Sons of Norway and loved to travel.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Doris; two children, Larry (Jeannette) and Betty (Alan) Erbe; four grandchildren, Carrie, Scott, Dan and Julie; and four great-grandchildren, Nick, Alyssa, Anna and Morgan. He is further survived by his sister, Helen Kruger; brother-in-law, Richard (Kathy) Gunderson; many nieces, nephews as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his two brothers, Irvin and Russell; and five sisters, Rosella, Violet, Lucille, Doris and Marlene.
Funeral Services for Mr. Yarrington will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at noon, with Janice Navarro, associate in ministry, officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relative and friends can meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, from 5-7 p.m. and on Wednesday at 11 a.m. until service time.
