Violet L. Kuske, age 78, passed away Monday, May 4, 2009, at the Kenosha United Hospital System. Violet was born in Racine, September 16, 1930, daughter of the late Peder and Ottomina (Nee: Christensen) Petersen.
On April 22, 1950, in Waukegan, IL, she was united in marriage to Robert A. Kuske, who preceded her in death on March 26, 1991. Violet enjoyed knitting, volunteering with the VFW Auxiliary, and she loved wildlife, especially feeding the birds. Above all she treasured time spent with her family. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her children, Roberta (Robert) Stevens of Las Vegas, NV, Karen (Nolan) DeCamp of Racine, David (Terry) Kuske of Kiel, WI,; eight grandchildren, Rob (Cami), Adam, Matthew, Kristin, Nicole, Daniel, Jason and Carolynn; a brother, Albert (Mary) Petersen of Racine; a sister, Rose (Martin) DeKeuster of Racine; her special friend, George Caynak; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Cantrell.
Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday, from 5-7 p.m. Private services will be held with interment at Graceland Cemetery.
