Roger Allan Dehne, 66, passed away after a short battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints. He was born in Bristol on June 9, 1942, the son of George and Esther (nee: Wendorf) Dehne.
Roger proudly served in the United States Army, and was honorably discharged in 1973. He had been employed at Young Radiator for 18 years until their closing and was then employed with One Hour Martinizing for 25 years. Roger will be remembered as a very loyal friend and for how he loved his pets.
Surviving is his partner of 34 years, Herman ‘Wally’ Wallace; five brothers, Ray (Ruth) Dehne, Robert Dehne, Richard Dehne, Fred (Jeannie) Dehne and Donny Dehne; five sisters, Elaine (John) Lopez, Joan (Mike) Jorgenson, Marjorie Wagner, Carol Lockhart and Sharon Street; and an aunt, Marion Wendorf. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William and James; sisters, Sandra Hammond and Donna Dehne; brother-in-law, Millert Lockhart.
Funeral services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 10 a.m. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Saturday before services, from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
