Carl E. Vinson, 65, died on Thursday, April 30, 2009, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was born on May 8, 1943, in Sheffield, Alabama, the son of Alexander and Florence Vinson.
He grew up in Columbia, Tennessee, and served proudly in the United States Air Force in Colorado. Carl was married on Feb. 4, 1967, to Susan Linstroth of Racine. Carl lived in Racine until retiring to New Mexico in September 2008.
Carl is survived by his sons, Kenneth and Eric; and two grandchildren, Iain and Indigo; and a nephew, Steven Bright.
A memorial visitation will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Private burial will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.
