Leslie Jacob, 81, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 30, 2009.
Leslie was born in Racine on July 10, 1927, son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Jacob. He was united in marriage to the former Antoinette “Pat” Pawlowsky on April 26, 1958. Leslie served in the U.S. Army at the end of World War II. He retired from J.I. Case Company on August 1, 1987. Leslie was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
Leslie is survived by his wife, Antoinette “Pat” Jacob; sons, Kurt Jacob of Milwaukee, Paul (Linda) Jacob and Gregg (Laurie) Jacob both of Racine; daughter, Susan (Paul) Bisswurm of Racine; grandchildren, David and Naomi Jacob, and Ryan and Danny Bisswurm; and sister-in-law, Jane Jacob. Leslie is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Andrew Jacob, Jr.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and Art Schatzley, and Charlotte and Bernie Stuckey; nephew, Benjamin Stuckey; and niece, Charlotte Ann Pfeiffer.
A Memorial Mass for Leslie will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at 10 a.m. celebrated by Rev. William Dietzler. Private family entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass.
