Om P. Asija

Om Prakash Asija, age 73, passed away Monday, July 13, 2009. Om was born in India, January 2, 1936, son of the late Manohar Lal and Bhagwanti (Dua) Asija.

On January 10, 1963, in India he was united in marriage to Pamela Dua. Om was employed by SAP as a computer consultant for many years until his retirement in 2003. Prior to this employment, Om had worked at Johnson Controls Inc. He devoted his life to his family and will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of forty-six years, Pamela; his two sons, Roger (Priya) of Jackson, WI, Sunil (Surya) of Madison, WI; his daughter, Pooja (Sunil) Sharma of FL; his four grandchildren, Anika, Armaan, Keya and Krish; sister, Prem Asija of India; brother, Ramesh of San Francisco, CA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vinod (Mona) Dua, Sushma Virmani, Saroj (Prem) Sagar, Anita (Narinder) Chitkara, and Sunita (Harish) Arora, Usha Asija, Om Prakash Dhingra; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin sister, Pushpa Dhingra; his brother, Krishan Lal Asija; and brother-in-law, Ravi Virmani.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 17, 2009, at 3 p.m. Private interment will be held. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 1:30 p.m. until time of service.
