Jean was born in Des Moines, IA, on September 20, 1920, to David and Lora (nee, Crow) McMahan. She married Ralph R. Giese on April 26, 1974. Jean was an artist working with watercolors. She also, along with Ralph, loved to travel.Jean is survived by her husband, Ralph R. Giese; daughters, Patricia Polachowski, Kay (John) Huston and Ann (Rick) Hayes; stepchildren, Alan (Abby) Giese and Catherine Giese; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Jean is also survived by other relatives and many friends in Green Bay.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Schneider.
Funeral services for Jean will be held at Mt. Olivet Chapel on Friday, January 29, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at Mt. Olivet Chapel from 1 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, prayers or Mass’s may be offered in memory of Jean.
