Sue was born in South Milwaukee on August 22, 1919, to George N. and Emily C. (nee, Mence) Rickert. She was united in marriage to Lawrence W. Fritz at Trinity Lutheran Church on July 1, 1944. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1965. On November 26, 1966, Sue married Robert C. Schulz at Trinity Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1980. Sue was employed by S. C. Johnson & Sons since 1965, retiring in 1982.Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (John) Torkilsen; step-daughter, Pamela (Lynn) Murray; granddaughters, Hollie (Brian) Nelson, Aimee (Shaun) Dennis and Elizabeth (Brian) Wolf; great-grandchildren, Evan and Marin Holle, Tyler Nelson, Jillian Dennis, Mason and Allison Wolf; and sisters-in-law, Lillian Rickert and Elaine Rickert. Sue is also survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin daughter, Karen Fritz; and brothers, George N. Rickert, Jr. and Thomas Rickert; nephew, Joseph Rickert; and dear friend Don Wuerzberger.
Funeral services for Sue will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva St., on Friday, January 29, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Jennings officiating. Private family inurnment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or St. Monica’s Senior Citizens Home.
