Nadine V. (Roberts) Miller

Nadine V. Miller, age 90, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at Lakeshore Manor. Nadine was born in Racine, June 21, 1919, daughter of the late Bert and Anna (Nee: Spanbauer) Roberts.

In 1942 at St. Edward Catholic Church she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Robert “Bob” J. Miller, who preceded her in death, April 12, 2008. Nadine taught piano for forty-eight years. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and was a former member of St. Edward’s for seventy years. Nadine belonged to the Racine Music Teacher’s Association and was past president of the Catholic Junior League. Above all she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her three daughters, Sharon (Paul) Bauer of Appleton, Susan Kiiskila of Racine, Roberta (Peter) Kerrick of Brookfield, 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Kenneth Kiiskila; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bob and Jean Thielen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., on Friday, January 22, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Rev. William J. Dietzler officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Memorials to St. Catherine’s High School or to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church have been suggested.
