Gail Ann Bock

Gail Ann Bock, age 60, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010, at Wheaton-Franscian All Saints Medical Center. Gail Ann was born in Milwaukee, March 1, 1949, daughter of the late Gale A. and E. Jean (Nee: Noerrlinger) Bock.

Gail Ann was a graduate of New Berlin High School “Class of 1967.” Gail Ann received her Bachelor's in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and was working towards her master's from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She taught Social Studies and Speech for twelve years in Randolph, WI. Gail Ann then worked as a Legislative Aide for Senator Lynn Adelman and Senator Robert Jauch. She was very involved with state politics and chaired a number of political campaigns. She moved to Racine in 1991 and was employed as an appraiser for Southern Wisconsin Appraisal. She was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Gail Ann loved to read and was also an avid Brewer and Packer fan. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her brother, Gene (Anne Vallin) Bock of Racine; nephews and niece, Daniel, Gregory, and MeriKatherine Bock; loving companion, Dennis Hortum; aunts and uncles, Doris (Ellsworth) Stohlmann, Walter (Bernice) Noerrlinger Jr., Chester (Betty) Noerrlinger, Fae (Leonard) Haveman, Ruby (Richard) Wilson, Robert (Verneel) Noerrlinger, Arvilla Noerrlinger, all of NE, Ruth Bock of West Allis, WI; special friend, Irene Garreau; many cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 40 Ohio St., with Rev. Victoria Millar and Rev. Melanie Hammond-Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin. Relatives and friends may meet Thursday at the church for visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Memorials to All Saints Cancer Center or to Covenant Presbyterian Church have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Richard Odders, Wheaton-Franciscan 2D staff, and the staff at All Saints Cancer Center for their loving and compassionate care
