Frank P. Juras

Frank Peter Juras, 92, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care-All Saints on Saturday January 9, 2010. Frank was born in Racine on July 6, 1917, the son of Constantine and Victoria (nee: Karbowska) Juras. He was united in marriage to Georgette Boulard in Racine on November 8, 1941.

Frank proudly served his country during World War II with the Marine Corps from 27 August 1942 until 10 November 1945, honorably discharged as a Tech. Sergeant. He was employed at American Motors as a Drop Forge Supervisor, retiring in May of 1982 with 23 years of service.

Frank is survived by his daughter-in-law, Robin Juras; grandson, Phillip (Lisa) Juras; granddaughter, Carri (Matt Holewinski) Juras all of Racine; great-granddaughter, Madison; and great-grandson, Mason; along with sisters, Bernice Kersten of Racine, Jean Simmons of North Carolina, Marge Decker of Arizona, and Rose Olson of Racine. Frank is also survived by brothers, Al Juras of Illinois and Constantine Juras of Milwaukee. He is further survived by special nephew Mark Welch and niece, Annette (LeRoy) Clausen, all of Racine, along with other relatives and dear friends, not to mention his beloved grand dogs, Muffy Juras and Cubbie Juras .

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Georgette; son Paul Juras on December 17, 2007; great-grandson, Caleb Paul Juras on February 8, 2008; brothers, Joseph and John Juras; sister, Helen; along with sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Memorial services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on January 13, 2010, at 7 p.m. with John Fleming of E.U.M. church officiating. There will be a memorial visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m.
