Geraldine 'Sis' Eisenhut

Geraldine ‘Sis’ (nee: Johnson) Eisenhut, 91, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010, at Lakeshore Manor. Geraldine was born in Racine on September 26, 1918, the daughter of Harry and Clara (nee: Dase) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Bert Eisenhut on June 6, 1942, in Racine.

Geraldine was a lifelong member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church and a longtime member of Meadowbrook Country Club. She found great enjoyment in golfing, playing Yahtzee, various card games and was involved in numerous bowling leagues,

Geraldine is survived by her loving daughters, Karen Lofquist and Kay Johnson, both of Racine; nine grandchildren, Julie (Richard) Nelson, Diane (George) Sullivan, Scott (Dawn) Lofquist, Sharon (Randy) Moore, Bert (Lori) Seeger, Roger (Leslie) Lofquist Jr., Wendy (Ted) Cain, Jennifer (John) Kolp, Dennis (Marcy) Johnson Jr.; 17 great-grandchildren, Terry Cain, Maggie Cain, Jennell Kolp, Jacque Kolp, Christopher Nelson, David Nelson, Jason (Lisa) Koontz, Steven Seeger, Zachery Seeger, Liz Seeger, Tyler Sullivan, Blake Sullivan, Alannah Lofquist, Leah Lofquist, Austin Johnson, Alex Lofquist, Jack Lofquist; and one great-great-grandson, Ryan Koontz. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Bert, on October 30, 1991.

Funeral services for Geraldine will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Thursday January 21, 2010, at 11 a.m. with entombment at Graceland Cemetery Crypts. There will be a visitation at Sturino Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lakeshore Manor or to the Juvenile Diabetes Association have been suggested.

Geraldine’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to Lakeshore Manor for their loving care and all the kind-hearted people who were thoughtful enough to take her for her therapeutic strolls in the fresh outside air and to enjoy God’s beauty.
