Gary A. Miller, 50, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on January 17, 2010. He was born in Kenosha on July 11, 1959, the son of Ted and Lil (nee: Gross) Miller. Gary was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School “Class of 1977.” He owned and operated The Village Deli in Sturtevant along with his wife Jacqueline.
Gary was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs enthusiast, attending games at Wrigley Field as often as possible.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline; beloved daughter, Liza; and adoring grandson, Javon Jeremiah Edwards, all of Racine. He is further survived by his mother, Lil Miller of Kenosha; brothers, James (Barb) Miller of Ohio, David (Pat) Miller; sister, Alice (Curt) Logan, all of Racine.
Gary is also survived by his mother-in-law, Barb Filber; brothers-in-law, George “Butch” (Heidi) Filber and Daniel Filber; sisters-in-law, Susan Drenkhahn and Anna Filber all of Racine; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and dear friends in Racine, Kenosha and loyal customers of Village Deli.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Miller in 1975; and father-in-law, George Filber Jr. in 1994.
In keeping with the families’ wishes, private services have been held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Gary’s family would be appreciated.
