Donald Harold Jacobs, 93, passed away in Kenosha at the Washington Manor on Monday, December 15, 2008.
Donald Jacobs was born in Ord, Nebraska, to the late Guy L. and Velna (nee: Wygent) Jacobs on August 30, 1915. He lived most of his life in Racine. In Racine, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Matichek on November 6, 1937.
Mr. Jacobs was employed at Massey Harris and Heinrich Tools for many years. He was well know in the city of Racine for his work as a precision grinder. He was a handyman and always had to be working on something, especially cars and other mechanical things.
Donald is survived by five sons, Richard (Kathleen), Charles, Eugene (Mary), Gerald (Kathy), and James; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, John (Jean) Jacobs; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann on October 7, 1983, and one infant son, Ronald.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, December 19, 2008, at 1 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on Highway 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until service time.
