Ollie Mae (nee: MacDavid) Glover, 79, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2008, at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints.
She was born in Plaines, Virginia on, April 14, 1929, the daughter of Elijah and Elizabeth (nee: Kawood) Mac David. On October 4, 1946, Ollie was united in marriage to Charles Richard Glover. She has been a resident of Racine for the past seven years, and formerly lived in Salida, CO. Ollie was a nurse’s aide at Salida Hospital. She loved music; played the harmonica and piano and when she was a child, she sang with Mack Wiseman. She also enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are her sons, Richard Glover, Robert Glover, Michael Glover and Brian Kieffer; daughters, Linda (Wayne) Rice, RoseMary (Bob) Dickson, Diane (Al) Deherrera and Betty Mae (Todd Tarrant) Meadows; sisters, Amanda Sanger and Mary (Donald) Pearl; and special friend, Peggy Everett. She is further survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ollie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, in June 1991; daughter, Ruth Webb; grandson, Christopher Lee Meadows; two brothers and four sisters.
Memorial services will be held in Salida, Colorado, with burial at Fairview Cemetery in Salida.
