William Husting was born in Racine to the late Otto and Marie (nee: Jacobsen) Husting on June 7, 1913. He lived in Racine for most of his life. In Detroit, Michigan, he was united in marriage to Dorothia Guenther on July 3, 1937. She preceded him in death on June 9, 2004.Mr. Husting was a life-long member of Christ Church United Methodist and was active in the United Methodist Men's Club. He was also involved with the Civilian Conservation Corps and Kiwanis Golden K. In his younger years, he was proud to be an Assistant Boy Scout Leader.
William is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Ralph) Molbeck of Racine and Cheryl (Jim) Klinzing of Bogart, Georgia; six grandchildren, Bill (Linda) Molbeck, Marcy (Kevin) Kearns, Tom (Rhonda) Molbeck, Susan (Brian) LoPiccolo, Michael (Margaret) Klinzing and Jennifer (Bill) Kennison; twelve great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Marcus, Ryan, Taylor, Mitchell, Logan, Michael, Brayden, Sarah, Meredith, Katie and Cal; and other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Viola Laycock.
Service for Mr. Husting will be private. Interment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park.
