John Klonkowski, 57, passed away at Froedtert Hospital on Tuesday, December 23, 2008.
John was born in LaCrosse on September 19, 1951, to Laurel and Elizabeth (Kofta) Klonkowski. He served his country in the United States Army and National Guard. John married Karen Tomsich on November 12, 1976. He was employed at American Metal Technologies. John liked to play computer games and watch movies with his son. The most important part of John’s life was spending time with his family. John loved their Great Dane, Zoe, and their tropical birds.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Karen Klonkowski; children, Kristine A. Klonkowski, Pamela S. (Erich) Jaeschke, and John J. Klonkowski; and grandson, Brandon, and baby, Jaeschke. John is also survived by his father, two brothers, two sisters, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for John will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Interment with full military honors will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy. 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
