Louella E. Hinkle, 92, passed away at Becker-Shoop Center on Wednesday, December 10, 2008.
Louella was born in Sturgeon Bay on July 1, 1916, to Fred and Minnie (nee, Shack) Cody. She married Henry Hinkle. He preceded her in death in 1963. Louella was one of seventeen children and was one to never complain. She was a seamstress and loved to crochet and embroider.
Louella is survived by her children, Kenneth Hinkle, Frank (Estelle) Hinkle and Barbara (Don) Ortel all of Racine; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Virginia Gibes of Cudahy, Grace Mullins of Racine, Harold Cody of Racine and Sylvia Neu of Superior, MT; and her special friend, Carol Cero of South Milwaukee. Louella is also survived by other relatives and many, many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Genevieve Hinkle; and several brothers and sisters.
Services for Louella will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, December 14, 2008, at 2 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
The family would like to thank Frank and Estelle who saw to all of Louella’s needs.
