She was born in Chicago Heights, IL, on November 30, 1916, daughter of the late Dominic and Antonina (Nee: Gagliano) Vanella. She was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.She is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave., on Monday, December 29, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Ronald O. Crewe officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until 10: 15 a.m.

Marianne was a sweet woman; I will always recall her kindness to us as young women. She viewed the world in her own unique way, and shared that view. She'll be missed.
